THE WEST AUSTRALIAN STATE GOVERNMENT JUST LEGALISED LONG TERM TINY HOUSE RESIDENCY!!!
Traditionally one of the most restrictive states where camping is concerned, WA has just announced a statewide amendment to camping laws.
Where previously the length of time you could stay in your caravan or Tiny House was a maximum of 3 months, you can now be approved for full time occupancy for two years, which is able to be renewed!
We’re equal parts shocked and excited about this complete 180 turnaround in policy!
This amendment (effective from September 1) now brings WA policy in line with what’s been in place in NSW since 2021.
We've spoken to HUNDREDS of WA land owners who have been really keen to open their properties and make some extra income by hosting a Tiny House tenant, but unfortunately the fear around legislation has prevented almost all of them from doing so.
