It was a wonderful few days in Maitland, even though that horrendous and incessant wind made parts of it unpleasant and rather tiring..!
I had the opportunity to meet a few of our wonderful members, and many future members.
It’s fabulous to watch the relief on so many faces when I share the success we’ve had finding land for so many others, and that it is in fact getting easier all the time to find hosts willing to share their properties with us Tiny House folk!
My favourite part of expo weekends is talking to all the property owners who didn’t even realise that renting land for Tiny House tenants is a thing!!
Most of them attend expos with the idea of buying a $100,000 Tiny House to put on airbnb.. not realising there are FAR easier ways to make PASSIVE income without the massive initial outlay!!
The beauty of the Hunter region is that properties there are generally quite large (50-300 acres on average), and in NSW its actually fully legal to host a Tiny on your property where there’s an existing approved house!
Given that listings in the Hunter, Central Coast and Northern Rivers areas are in SUCH high demand with our members (we have dozens on our waitlists!), the marker rate here is closer to $175 per week, so we’re looking forward to seeing you all submit Host Applications this week!
